Project Background

The Indian customer is a coil coating and roofing producer supplying dealers and project contractors across several regions. Their product mix includes multiple roof profiles, color ranges and coating systems, which translates into frequent changes in strip width and strip count requirements. The previous slitting line could not keep up with seasonal peaks, especially before the monsoon season when roofing demand spikes.

Because the line was slow to adjust and heavily dependent on operator experience, planning had to build in generous time buffers, and dealers often faced extended lead times. The management decided that a more efficient and user-friendly slitting line was essential to stabilize delivery performance and improve their reputation in the dealer network.

Key Configuration & Parameters

We supplied a 0.3–3.0 mm × 1600 mm slitting line with a line speed of 120 m/min. The system features a well-balanced combination of slitter, side guides and tension stand to ensure stable strip width and edge quality during frequent size changes.
